Fall Festival
The dates for the 62nd Annual St. Mary's Fall Festival are October 11th, 12th and 13th. For 62 years, St. Mary's Parish has come together in fellowship to celebrate the Fall Festival. The Fall Festival is the largest Parish-wide fundraiser of the year with over 5,000 people expected to attend the three day event this year. Proceeds from Fall Festival help fund the numerous ministries of St. Mary's, including the St. Joseph's Pantry (food, clothing, and financial assistance for the needy in our community), tuition assistance for St. Mary's school children, Aid to Distressed Families of Anderson County (ADFAC), Crazy Quilt, Anderson County Retarded Citizens (ARC), and the Plateau Home School, among others.

We invite any and all local organizations to be part of this exciting community event by becoming a valued sponsor or contributor. We are grateful for any support you are able to provide, including financial, service or material donations, or even sharing a few hours of your time to volunteer for the event. This is a great way to highlight your commitment to our community and to receive recognition for your outpouring of support. 2012 Festival Events
  • Thursday, October 11, 5:30pm: 1st Annual Road Rally beginning in St. Mary's Church parking lot. 7:30pm Ice Cream social and award ceremony
  • Friday, October 12, 5pm: Spaghetti Supper sponsored by the Knights of Columbus in the Parish Life Center, Silent and Live Auctions, Pie Baking Contest, Bake Sale and Fun Activities for Children and Young Adults
  • Saturday, October 13, 10am - 4pm: Fall Festival on St. Mary's Parish Grounds - Games, Food, Inflatable Rides, Obstacle Course, Face Painting, General Store, Bake Sale, Crafts, White Elephant, Car Auction

Planning Meetings:
All meetings are on Sunday from 11am to 12pm:
  • September 2 (Cafeteria)
  • September 16 (Columbus Hall)
  • September 30 (Cafeteria)
  • October 7 (Cafeteria)
  • Other dates will be scheduled as necessary

ONGOING NEEDS:
  • Volunteers - We ALWAYS need new volunteers - it is never too late to help! We are currently have the following Committee Chair positions open: Prize Booth, Car Auction
  • Auction Items- contact Lynda Vinyard at 556-1355 or Kim Bellofatto at 483-2683 to arrange for pickup
  • Car Auction - We'll take anything with an engine that runs - cars, boats, riding mowers, golf carts - contact Scott Vinyard (556-1356)
  • Other needs - Generators to use on Festival day, hickory wood to smoke the bbq a couple weeks before the festival, and 2-3 golf carts to use on Friday night and Saturday to transport the older attendees from the parking lots and supplies needed throughout the festival to the different booths.
