Catholic Youth Organization (CYO)
St. Mary's CYO is a community of high school students (grades 9-12) who gather in a social and spiritual atmosphere. The CYO sponsors weekly Faith-N-Food dinners and encourages participation in many activities: service projects, retreats, fund raisers, athletic events, beach trips, and high school lunches. The Youth Group is very involved in deanery and diocesan events (Appalachian Work Camp, Leadership Workshop, retreats, and conventions). For more information, contact the Youth Minister.

Junior High Youth Group
The Junior High Youth Group involves all the youth in the parish (grades 7 and 8) the opportunity to establish friendships and build community. Service, social, athletic, spiritual, and Prayer-N-Share events are offered. Contact the Youth Minister for more information.

Council of Catholic Women
St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women (CCW) was established in October 1946. Its purpose is to unite all the women of the parish through service to others, spiritual development, and social interaction. Under the direction of CCW are commissions which are listed as follows: Church Communities, Community Affairs, Family Affairs, International Affairs, Organizational Services, and the Legislative Information Committee Commission. An integral part of the CCW is the Guild System. The guilds began in 1986. The guilds are listed as follows: The Madonna Guild, Our Lady of Fatima, St. Anthony, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Gertrude, St. Joseph, St. Lucy, St. Theresa of the Little Flower, and St. Veronica. Knights of Columbus
The Father McRedmond Council #3175 was chartered on October 24, 1948. The Knights of Columbus is an order of Catholic men and their families, dedicated to promoting the concepts of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

St. Mary's Men's Club
An organization to foster a greater sense of community among the Catholic men of St. Mary's Parish was established in January 1991. The intent of this organization is to not only benefit its members, but the St. Mary's Parish community at large. This is accomplished through active member participation in regular activities focusing on three main areas: 1) Religious, 2) Service, and 3) Social. SOLOS
SOLOS (Sharing Our Lives with Others) is a membership of older adults who come together on a regular basis for fellowship and companionship. This ministry serves to support the needs of the widowed, divorced, separated and single members of our parish family, and is open to our sister parishes.

Music Ministry
The Schola Choir sings at the Saturday Vigil and Sunday 8:00 a.m. Masses. The Contemporary Choir sings at 10:00 a.m. Mass. The Noon Teen Choir is open to anyone from 8th Grade up and sings at 12:00 Mass. Singers and instrumentalists are welcome to join.

Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers are lay persons specially commissioned to help with the distribution of Holy Communion at Masses where needed. They may also take Communion to shut-ins.

Hospitality Committee
The parish ushers and greeters are those persons who exercise the liturgical ministry of hospitality. The ushers are to seat people if needed and are responsible for the gathering of the gifts. Greeters welcome the faithful as they enter the church, hand out bulletins, and assist parishioners and visitors.

Lector
The ministry of lector calls for a person who has shown both the interest and ability of proclaiming the Scriptures during the daily and Sunday liturgies.

Liturgy Committee
This committee coordinates liturgical ministries and oversees the planning and preparation of Sacramental celebrations. Membership includes representatives from the various liturgical ministries and the parish at large.

Altar Servers
Altar servers assist at the Eucharistic celebrations on both weekdays and weekends. Boys and girls who are in the 5th grade and up are invited to volunteer as servers. They are trained by the priests.

White Elephant Thrift Store
The White Elephant Thrift Store contains clothing, shoes, appliances, furniture, dishes, etc. for sale and emergency situations distribution. Proceeds from sales go to charity and to help pay emergency needs of the poor of Anderson and local counties.

Respect Life Committee
This Committee is dedicated to the implementation of the goals and programs of the Diocese's Pro-Life Committee, praying and teaching about the sanctity of human life. The Committee helps those in need and advocates laws and policies that affirm human life.

Haiti
The Haiti Parish Twinning program began in 1980. St. Mary's has adopted a parish in Haiti and regularly sends monetary support as well as non-perishable food items to our sister parish on the northern shore of Haiti.

Bereavement Ministry
This ministry strives to help parishioners better understand grief and the grieving process, as well as learning how to reach out to those in grief.

Scouting Programs
Please contact the Chairperson of the Parish Life Committee for information on the contact person of the various scouting programs. Girl Scout programs include Brownies, Juniors, and Cadets. Cub Scouts, Indian Guides and Y-Trailblazers are available for boys.
