The mission of Youth Ministry at St. Mary’s is based from the Holy Scriptures. When our Youth Ministry team was trying to figure out the “Why?” of why do we have Youth Ministry here, we found our answer in Jesus’ words. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commissions his disciples to, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always until the end of the age.” So, as Jesus commanded this of his disciples, he also commands this of us today. It is our responsibility and privilege to lead others to Christ and to help each other on our faith journeys. And we are to always remember that Jesus is with us, helping us along the way. St. Mary’s has a Junior High Youth Ministry available to teens in the 7th and 8th grade. Our junior high hangout night is every Tuesday night from 7pm to 8pm to discuss our faith and to have fun playing games such as dodgeball, kickball, and basketball. St. Mary’s also has a High School Youth Ministry available to teens in grades 9 thru 12. Our high school hang out is every Monday night from 7pm to 8:30pm.
