Youth Ministry

Jr High Youth Ministry

Students in 5th through 8th grade participate in a unique approach to youth ministry called Challenge & Conquest (c), which is led by high school teens under the guidance of adult leaders. This program is designed to help our youth to grow in knowledge of their Catholic faith, friendship with Christ, and make a difference and positive impact on their families, friends and in the world around them. Plus it is a TON of FUN!

Meetings are held in the Youth Building on the first Friday (after school) and third Saturday (5:30 Mass then meeting) of the month. For more information, contact the Challenge & Conquest coordinator at cc@stmarysoakridge.org.

High School Youth Ministry

High School Youth meet for Faith, Fun & Games every Wednesday night at 7pm in the Youth building.

They also participate in annual retreats at different locations, attend the NCYC conference and Walk for Life, and demonstrate leadership in our Challenge and Conquest program.

St. Mary’s serves a weekly lunch to juniors and seniors from Oak Ridge High School, serving two purposes in that it evangelizes to the teens as well as making money for the Wednesday night Youth Group programs. Volunteers interested in providing food for high school lunch should contact Karen Vacaliuc at 865-386-5784.
